It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 45-8, which was the final score in Lockland's's tilt against National Trail on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lockland has scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylah Smith, who scored a points along with 12 rebounds and six blocks. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Alayah Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring a points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Lockland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for National Trail, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
