It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  45-8, which was the final score in Lockland's's tilt against National Trail on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Lockland has scored all season.
 Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jaylah Smith, who  scored a points along with 12  rebounds and six  blocks. Smith is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as she's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's  played.  Alayah Jefferson was another key contributor,  scoring a points along with five  rebounds and four  steals.
 Lockland has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for National Trail, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
 After both having extra time off, Lockland and Seven Hills will dust off their jerseys to  face off against  one another  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 5, 2024. Seven Hills will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. National Trail will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Preble Shawnee at 7:15  p.m.  on January 4, 2024.
