Auburn took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Prattville Lions by a score of 66-56. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Antwane Daniels had a dynamite game, shooting 50% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks. That's the most blocks he has posted since back in December of 2024. Trindon Manior was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven assists.

Auburn was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prattville only posted eight.

Despite the loss, Prattville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jersey Farbes went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Cowling, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

Prattville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Auburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-51 loss against Park Crossing on the 13th. As for Prattville, they will head out to challenge Wetumpka at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
