Spring Lake Park has gone a perfect 5-0 against Cambridge-Isanti recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Bluejackets at 4:30 p.m. Spring Lake Park will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Spring Lake Park proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Duluth East, sneaking past 4-3.

Tyler Wilkinson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Flaten, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Ethan Jacobs also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Spring Lake Park hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Cambridge-Isanti got the win against Zimmerman on Monday by a conclusive 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Bluejackets, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cambridge-Isanti is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Spring Lake Park, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Spring Lake Park took their win against Cambridge-Isanti in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
