The Holy Cross Crusaders will head out to face off against the Bristol Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holy Cross will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Holy Cross' win against Western Wayne wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders skirted past the Wildcats 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crusaders have posted since April 8th.

AVA SCHMIDT spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, MCKINLEY GRIFFITHS was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. KIRSTYN ZIGRAY also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Bristol got themselves on the board against The Christian Academy on Monday, but The Christian Academy never followed suit. They blew past The Christian Academy 23-0. Considering the Warriors have won 14 matchups by more than 14 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Aubrey McIlvaine looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Peyton McClain was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Amirah Bell, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Bristol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .000.
Holy Cross' record now sits at 13-2. As for Bristol, their record is now 16-1.
Holy Cross' speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Crusaders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bristol, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Holy Cross continue to outrun the ball?
