Fife has gone 9-1 against Franklin Pierce recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Fife is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Eatonville 16-6 on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cruisers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Miles Ducharme made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He has become a key player for Fife: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Hoots, who scored five runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carter Christiansen, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Fife was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Franklin Pierce waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Timberwolves. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Franklin Pierce let Elijah Sledge and Lucas Larson run wild. Sledge scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Larson scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Larson also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Dustin Wallace was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Fife pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin Pierce, their record now sits at 6-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fife hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Franklin Pierce struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fife skirted past Franklin Pierce 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
