The Griffin Bears can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Perry 60-34. Given Griffin's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Perry is ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Griffin found their leader in underclassman Naima Foster, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foster has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamiyah Hosley, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Griffin pushed their record up to 13-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Perry, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griffin will take on Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Baldwin's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 games. As for Perry, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
