The Middletown Blue Raiders will take on the Biglerville Canners at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Middletown is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Harrisburg on Thursday as they made off with a 27-4 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Blue Raiders, who have now won four matchups in a row.
Kayci Fralin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Sheaffer was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Leah Snyder was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Middletown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Biglerville got themselves on the board against Pequea Valley on Thursday, but Pequea Valley never followed suit. They blew past the Braves 15-0.
Like Middletown, Biglerville also got a great game from a two-way player: Sydney McCleaf. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McCleaf has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Biglerville got a massive performance out of Abigail Rice, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Biglerville's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Middletown, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Middletown's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Blue Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Biglerville, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Middletown continue to outrun the ball?
