River View (Kennewick, Wash.) snapped
Jenkins (Chewelah, Wash.)'s 9-game winning streak, with a 27-14 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter, the Panthers led 13-7 at the half.
River View expanded its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. RV's lone score in the quarter came on a rushing touchdown.
With the win the Kennewick school extended its winning streak to six games. The Panthers defeated the Rangers 68-20 last week.
Alonso Mendoza played well for River View in the victory. The junior running back ran for one touchdown.
RV had given up an average of 14.6 points prior to the contest.
The defeat comes as a step back for Jenkins, which notched a 26-20 victory over Okanogan in its previous outing.
