Football Recap: South Brunswick Beats Fairmont for Their Second Straight Victory

Fairmont came into Friday's contest looking for another win against South Brunswick, but Amerius Revels wouldn't allow it. The Cougars took down the Golden Tornadoes 35-18 on Friday with plenty of help from Revels, who rushed for 228 yards and three scores while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.

Despite the loss, Fairmont saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jeremiah Morris rushed for 180 yards on only 15 carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Morris is now averaging an impressive 105 rushing yards per game. Jamarion Brown helped out on the ground, rushing for 99 yards.

The win made it two in a row for South Brunswick and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.5 points over those games. As for Fairmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
