The Carver A&T Wildcats had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 59-16 win over Owings Mills on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Carver A&T also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Carver A&T to victory were Jada McAliley and Elisah Guity. McAliley scored 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Guity scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Oliva Vallar, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Carver A&T's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Owings Mills, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sparrows Point the next time they take the court. Carver A&T will host Sparrows Point at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Owings Mills will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
