Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Seymour Eagles, falling 8-0. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2021.

Morristown-Hamblen East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Greene, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Morristown-Hamblen East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Seymour, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Morristown-Hamblen East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-4 win against Cherokee on the 28th. As for Seymour, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Ridgewood on the 30th.
