A well-balanced attack led the Calvary Baptist Eagles over the Covenant Academy Patriots in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Calvary Baptist enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over Covenant Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Calvary Baptist also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Calvary Baptist was led to victory by Cannon Hargrave and Sam Guisler. Hargrave scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five steals, while Guisler dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guisler has scored all season. Max Guisler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals and two blocks.
Calvary Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Covenant Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Calvary Baptist will head out on the road to square off against Lifestyle Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Covenant Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against The Covenant Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m.
