The Meadows School waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Boulder City Eagles by a score of 73-66. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 53-46 loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Meadows School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Uzo Nwapa, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Defeat or not, Boulder City got some senior leadership from Sean Pendleton and Luke Wright. Pendleton went 9 of 16 en route to 27 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds, while Wright went 6 for 14 on his way to 21 points and five boards. Wright is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Jack Walker was another key player, putting up seven points.
The Meadows School is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Boulder City, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 18-6.
