He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Jalen Collins was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Eli Chowning was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Carolina Forest hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Socastee struck out nine times.
