Calvary Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Concord Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 60-18. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Calvary Christian Academy has managed all season.
Leading Calvary Christian Academy to victory were Audrey Hensley (HS) and Sadie Fournier. Hensley (HS) scored 18 points along with eight rebounds, while Fournier scored 16 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Fournier scored 15 or more points. Leia Sensenig (HS) was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
The victory got Calvary Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Concord Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Greenwood Mennonite at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Greenwood Mennonite: 20.2, Calvary Christian Academy: 29.1) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Concord Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Faith Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Faith Baptist School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Thursday.
