Hume-Fogg and West Creek are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Blue Knights will welcome the Coyote at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hume-Fogg has five straight wins, West Creek has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Hume-Fogg had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Glencliff on Thursday. The Blue Knights were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Colts.

Boston Harborth looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Hume-Fogg: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Hume-Fogg got a big performance out of Gavin Woody, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Woody has posted since back in March. Desmond Vecchio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Hume-Fogg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .875. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, West Creek lost 19-1 to Rossview on Thursday.
West Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leonidus Muniz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Muniz snagged this season. Another was Donte Castro, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Hume-Fogg pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for West Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hume-Fogg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hume-Fogg couldn't quite finish off West Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2022 and fell 6-4. Will the Blue Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
