The Edwards Tigers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They claimed a resounding 63-29 win over GEO Next Generation at home. The win was just what Edwards needed coming off of a 55-31 loss in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, GEO Next Generation still got an impressive performance from Quinniece Darby, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Darby scored a full 55.2% of GEO Next Generation's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Synia Sims, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds.
Edwards' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for GEO Next Generation, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Edwards has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Greenwood at 4:00 p.m. on November 21st. Greenwood is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. GEO Next Generation's road trip will continue as they head out to face O'Bannon at 3:30 p.m. on November 21st.
