The Upper Sandusky Rams will face off against the Colonel Crawford Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Upper Sandusky put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 27-3 margin over Carey. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Kenslee Swavel was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Swavel was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Upper Sandusky got a massive performance out of Madison Wengerd, who went 4-for-6 with five runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Wengerd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Saull, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
Upper Sandusky hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Colonel Crawford lost 21-10 to Lexington on Saturday.
Colonel Crawford got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Vanderpool, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Hoepf, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Upper Sandusky's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Colonel Crawford, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Upper Sandusky has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .487. However, it's not like Colonel Crawford struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
