Dongola was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 15-2 walloping at the hands of the Elverado Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Dongola of the  16-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
 For Elverado's part,  Maggie Elson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Elson was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Mylee Roberts was a standout: she scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Mylee Misner, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Dongola's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Elverado, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
 Dongola will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Egyptian at 4:30  p.m.  on April 2nd. As for Elverado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trico at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
