The Captain Shreve Gators had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They strolled past Parkway with points to spare, taking the game 62-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Captain Shreve also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Jyrin Sowell, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ejoshua Mcdonald was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Captain Shreve pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Parkway, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Captain Shreve will be playing at home against Airline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Airline is ranked 70th, while Captain Shreve is ranked 57th). As for Parkway, they will head out on the road to challenge Byrd at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
