The Hillsborough Raiders on the road again on Sunday and play against the Caldwell Chiefs at 1:00 p.m. on January 14th. Caldwell took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hillsborough, who comes in off a win.
Even though Hillsborough has not done well against Gill St. Bernard's recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hillsborough came out on top in a nail-biter against Gill St. Bernard's and snuck past 41-39. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Hillsborough has scored all year.
Philip Unangst continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Nicholas Losch was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Caldwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oratory Prep.
Hillsborough pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Caldwell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
