Football Recap: Coleman Skates Past Randolph with Ease

Coleman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-6 win over the Randolph Rockets. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 28 points or more this season.

Coleman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kolton Peters led the charge by rushing for 93 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries, while also picking up 73 receiving yards and one score. Cole Berth was another key rusher, rushing for 38 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Coleman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 251 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Coleman's record now sits at 8-2. As for Randolph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Coleman will take on Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Jets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Randolph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
