Baseball Recap: Clearwater Valley Has No Trouble Against Lapwai

Clearwater Valley got themselves on the board against Lapwai on Thursday, but Lapwai never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Rams have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Schilling and Tiago Pickering did most of the damage at the plate: Schilling went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Pickering went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Schilling a new career-high. Jake Fabbi was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Clearwater Valley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lapwai, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Clearwater Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-5 loss against Potlatch on the 19th. As for Lapwai, they have also already played their next game, an 18-5 defeat against Kendrick on the 18th.
