The Center Hill Mustangs entered their tilt with the South Panola Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went Center Hill's way against South Panola on Friday as Center Hill made off with a 72-52 victory. Considering Center Hill has won four matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Demartric Houston, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Center Hill's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for South Panola, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center Hill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cleveland Central at 1:15 p.m. on December 16th. Cleveland Central is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. South Panola will be home for the holidays to greet Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Palmer is ranked 206th, while South Panola is ranked 219th).
