The Lee County Trojans stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by Tift County at home to the tune of 56-27. The win was familiar territory for Lee County who now have seven in a row.
Josiah Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Parker is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Chaney, who scored six points along with six assists and two steals.
Tift County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being TeShawn Bryant, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Fred White, who scored four points.
Lee County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Tift County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11.
Lee County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Veterans knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully the Trojans like a good challenge. As for Tift County, they and the Packers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Colquitt County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 182nd).
