Baseball Recap: St. Michaels Wins Going Away Against Crisfield

While St. Michaels put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Crisfield. The Saints put the hurt on the Crabbers with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

AJ Dove was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Jack Brennan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

St. Michaels always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

St. Michaels is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Crisfield, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Michaels will take on Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Crisfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Washington on the 1st.
