It was a good run, but The Spencer Greenwave unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Academy for Classical Education by a score of 30-27. Spencer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Academy for Classical Education apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Academy for Classical Education got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleb Scarbary out in front who threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Scarbary hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Aaron Davis and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Academy for Classical Education's victory.
Spencer's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Academy for Classical Education, their win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
Spencer will take on Vidalia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vidalia is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Academy for Classical Education does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
