Bartow and Lakeland are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Bartow Yellow Jackets' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lakeland Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Bartow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Lakeland likes a good challenge.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bartow had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Dreadnaughts 72-47. Bartow has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bartow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Thompson, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Williams, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bartow is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Lakeland, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 17-6.
Everything went Bartow's way against Lakeland in their previous meeting on Saturday as Bartow made off with a 72-47 win. Will Bartow repeat their success, or does Lakeland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
