Wes Burford Delivers Best Performance of Season
Wes Burford produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Oakdale to the win on Friday. Burford rushed for 381 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 143 or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.
The win (which was Oakdale's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Burford's next game is against Central Catholic on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.
