After losing to the Raby Raiders the last time they met, the Intrinsic Mustangs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Intrinsic secured a 50-45 W over Raby on Tuesday.
Intrinsic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was America Escalera, who scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Escalera has scored at least 25% of Intrinsic's points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 20 points.
Despite the loss, Raby still got an impressive performance from Zamequa Hillard, who scored 34 points along with 6 rebounds. Hillard scored a full 75.6% of Raby's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zo?mya Page was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The victory got Intrinsic back to even at 1-1-1. As for Raby, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Intrinsic will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Aspira Business and Finance at 5:00 p.m. As for Raby, they will head out on the road to face off against Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
