Triton is 2-7 against North Judson-San Pierre since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Molly Madsen was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Lambert, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Catlin Hammack was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
North Judson-San Pierre was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Newton only posted a batting average of .263.
North Judson-San Pierre's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Triton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
