The Georgetown Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 45-20 defeat at the hands of Loris. Georgetown has not had much luck with Loris recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Loris' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brittany Bellamy, who scored ten points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Bellamy grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Ke'Asia Smith, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Georgetown's defeat was their eighth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14. As for Loris, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Georgetown will head out on the road to challenge Aynor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loris, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Manning at 6:00 p.m. Manning is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
