The Parker Thundering Herd will head out on the road to challenge the Minor Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Parker is ranked 27th, while Minor is ranked 47th).
Parker stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Jackson-Olin with a sharp 53-29 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Parker has posted since December 13, 2023.
Parker found their leader in underclassman Kamichael Richardson, who scored ten points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Otiscia Towns, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Minor unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 59-41 fall against Homewood.
Parker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Minor, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
Everything came up roses for Parker against Minor in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parker since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
