Oliver Springs hasn't had much luck against Rockwood recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bobcats will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oliver Springs has three straight victories, Rockwood has 22 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Oliver Springs and Harriman have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Bobcats blew past the Blue Devils 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Liam Boeke was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five contests. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
