Make it 17 blowout wins for the DeSoto Thunderbirds this season. They blew past West Memphis Christian 55-33. The victory was familiar territory for DeSoto who now have seven in a row.
It was another big night for Anslee Barnes, who scored 29 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Carsyn Gore, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five steals.
DeSoto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for West Memphis Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
DeSoto won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Tunica Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. West Memphis Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
