In what's become a running theme this season, the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Asheville Christian Academy 69-32 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee who now have five in a row.
Ansley Fuchs and Sara Larios certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fuchs scored 15 points, while Larios scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. That was a full 37.5% of Asheville Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Asheville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Asheville School (Independent) at 5:15 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Asheville School (Independent) focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Forsyth Home Educators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
