Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 18-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norton on Friday. Thomas More Prep-Marian has not had much luck with Norton recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Eli Jones was his usual excellent self, rushing for 175 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Thomas More Prep-Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Norton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Thomas More Prep-Marian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Norton will face off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellsworth is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
