They came out on top against New Hope Christian Academy by a score of 71-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Horizon Science Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Solaiman Jalloh, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jalloh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Roland Kargbo, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Horizon Science Academy back to even at 11-11. As for New Hope Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Horizon Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Hope Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Wellington School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Hope Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Wellington School likes a good challenge.
