Northeast Jones lost 9-3 to Oak Grove on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Northeast Jones saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hayes, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Hayes a new career-high in stolen bases. Jasper Herrington also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Richton came up short against North Forrest on Tuesday, falling 14-7. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wyatt Cochran was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Pearson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Even though they lost, Richton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Northeast Jones' loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Richton, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-9.
Richton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northeast Jones has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Richton, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain Northeast Jones' hitters?
