Doane Academy struggled with  assists on Monday (the Burlington Township Falcons had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The  contest between  the pair wasn't particularly close, with Doane Academy falling  64-48. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings  (they are ranked 341st, while Burlington Township is ranked 105th).
 When it comes to explaining why Doane Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Nick Fusco. Despite the final result, he  scored 29 points along with two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Fusco has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Hiatt Smith, who  scored nine points along with five  rebounds.
 Burlington Township found their leader in underclassman  Quayd Hendryx, who  scored 12 points along with eight  assists. That's the first time this season that  Hendryx  posted eight or more   assists.  Aaron Ferguson was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Doane Academy has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Burlington Township, the  victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doane Academy the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Pennsauken at 5:30  p.m.  on January 26th. Burlington Township will take on Northern Burlington at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
