The Hudson Cobras were the 62-32 winner over the Crystal River Pirates when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Hudson fell to the Pirates 50-46. Hudson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Hudson lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Tejacion Chapman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 47.8% of Hudson's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Davis, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Zachary Hamilton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crystal River, scoring 20 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Hamilton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Jordan Dumal was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Hudson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Crystal River, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
