The Wyandotte Bulldogs's six-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They skirted past Sumner Academy 52-50. Wyandotte's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyandotte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ar'naja Rogers, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ria Harbin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Wyandotte's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Sumner Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Wyandotte will be playing at home against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Sumner Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Highland Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 back in December of 2023.
