They strolled past Greenhill with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 72-57. The win was just what Houston Christian needed coming off of a 76-55 loss in their prior match.
Despite the defeat, Greenhill had strong showings from Jaxson Thompson, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds, and Dillon Watt, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Watt is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 11 games he's played.
Houston Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 21 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. As for Greenhill, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-4.
Houston Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 87-72 loss vs. St. John's on the 10th. Greenhill has also already played their next game, a 74-52 victory against Kinkaid on the 10th.
