The Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Lincoln 72-37 at home. Winning may never get old, but Bishop Heelan Catholic sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lincoln lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hutson Rau. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Bishop Heelan Catholic's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Lincoln, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Bishop Heelan Catholic and the Cardinals will face off on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Sioux City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 50th in Nebraska, while the Crusaders are ranked eighth in Iowa). As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to square off against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marian will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
