Not much got past Katelyn Billings, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Lynden Christian off the board. Billings has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Chloe Heinrich was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Gretchen Zandstra also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meridian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Burlington-Edison has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Meridian, though, as they've been averaging 11.3 hits. Given Burlington-Edison's sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Burlington-Edison got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Meridian by a conclusive 24-3 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
