Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyatt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zyniesha Horner, who scored 24 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Tianna Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Wyatt and bumps their season record up to 14-10. As for Southwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Wyatt will head out on the road to challenge North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Arlington Heights at 6:00 p.m. Arlington Heights presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southwest in Texas (Arlington Heights is ranked 496th, while Southwest is ranked 1233rd).
