In what's become a running theme this season, the Valley Center Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on Orange Glen with a sharp 76-50 victory. The victory was just what Valley Center needed coming off of a 68-38 defeat in their prior matchup.
Leading Valley Center to victory were Lincoln Zetmeir and Carson Yoder. Zetmeir scored 21 points along with seven rebounds, while Yoder scored 21 points along with three steals. Yoder is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aragon Elkins, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Valley Center's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Orange Glen, they dropped their record down to 2-23 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Valley Center on the road again on Wednesday and play against Escondido at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Orange Glen, they will be playing at home against Pacific Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
