Concord Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Sloan, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Sloan hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Dominic Alford, who scored 20 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Providence Academy had strong showings from Isaiah Peters-Daniels, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, and Nash Martinez, who scored 20 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Martinez scored 15 or more points. Luke Gilmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks.
Concord Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Providence Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-12.
