Crete-Monee is 8-2 against Bloom since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Crete-Monee Warriors' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bloom Blazing Trojan at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Crete-Monee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while Bloom is ranked 123rd).
Crete-Monee suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Simeon by a score of 55-53.
Meanwhile, Bloom stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 58-28 win over Chicago Marshall. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Bloom has posted since November 22, 2023.
Crete-Monee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Bloom, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything went Crete-Monee's way against Bloom in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Crete-Monee made off with a 48-24 victory. Does Crete-Monee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bloom turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
