After two games on the road, Greenwood is heading back home. They will take on the Monahans Loboes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Greenwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 games.
Even though Fort Stockton scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Greenwood still came out on top. Greenwood really took it to Fort Stockton for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-56 win on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 59-17.
Tatum Pierce was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Rauman, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Monahans came up short against Seminole on Tuesday and fell 53-41.
Greenwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. As for Monahans, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-12.
Greenwood won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by Monahans 81-80. Will Greenwood repeat their success, or does Monahans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
